So it was brought to my attention ... by my OCD ... that I had not blogged about our trip to Yosemite ... last summer LOL
So I said "HEY, voices in my head, I can do that NOW and back date it so it's in time order!" And we all celebrated the magic of the internet.
Back to Yosemite!
So DH got a hair up his butt Labor Day weekend to see Yosemite! So we hopped in the truck and headed up there. It's technically only like 60 miles from here but that DOES NOT mean it's about an hour away since the last 50 miles or so are 25 mph turns.
But the beauty that was there was worth it :)

So we got out to take a look at Bridal Veil falls and we hopped and skipped up the trail to find that since it was the end of summer, the falls don't really FALL so much.

But we looked anyway at the whisps of water and admired it.

And took some pretty pictures :)

We hiked back down and went to the Village. There they have a children's area with stuff to play in and experiment with, the kids blew through it in about 5 min flat lol

Outside they had a mock up of an indian village and they had fun playing in the teepees

And wooden buildings

We just enjoyed walking behind them where it was relatively quiet

After that we went and got a well deserved snack :)

And Lil Miss really enjoyed sharing our ice creams ...

really REALLY enjoyed it!

After wandering around the Village for awhile we took off to look for a place to play. We came to a pretty little spot around the river and let the kids out to get as dirty and wet as humanly possible ... they did not dissappoint.

We just stayed behind sitting up on the rocks behind them where it was relatively quiet, and shared a glass of wine.

This was just behind our spot on the rocks ...

And this was just in front ... sucha pretty spot!

Pretty enough to make you beat the water like a red-headed step child LOL

And to make you feel like a burly wild mountain man LOL

LOL

This was my first trip to Yosemite and it was so amazing. The views were breathtaking and I can't wait to take the kids back again! They have some really neat cabins and areas for camping maybe we'll do that! OOOOOR maybe we'll just stay for the day ;-)
