So I was bored and had some time to kill while the kids watch TV in the living room and try not to wake the baby. I was done cleaning the downstairs and organizing my new scrap and had started organizing my pictures on my computer ... told you ... BORED.
As I was looking through the pictures I realized I had quite a few from June that I had not blogged about! IMAGINE *THAT*! So I figured what the hell ...We were lucky enough to get out of the house alone for a fun little date night to my FAVORITE place in town for a good ol Cosmo :-D They make them SO WELL THERE I really should ask for the recipe, and when I do, I will share ;-)
I love taking pictures of us, even though I do tend to lean back too far. This is also a BEFORE picture. The next day I got out for some over due pampering. I got a cut and color, and then got my nails and toes done!
It took awhile to get a good pic of the cut and color and still it wasn't the best. But I really like it and think it looks good on me :-D
We had a pretty good time at the Grand Opening, which was basically just hours and hours of smoozing, snacking and drinking. After it was over we went and checked into the hotel and it was so nice, they sprung for the suite and it was an AMAZING time. We had some "couple time" ;-) and then met them downstairs at the restaurant for drinks.
OH we had the best time that night. It's been awhile since we were able to actually sleep without a child in the next room, and it was a little bit of heaven :-D We had to get up at 4:30 the next morning to drive back and pick up my girls from their dad on time, but it was totally worth it ;-)
The following weekend the boys took some time to bond and do 'boy things' like fart, scratch and talk about fire or something. OH and fish!
Appearently the boy is quite the fisherman! He was doing all his own 'casting' and 'baiting' and 'reeling' and WHATEVER it is that you menfolk do while fishing ;-)
The place looked AWESOME though! I was kinda jealous about missin out on that! DH has so many places like this that he knows of and loves to take us to, SOOO PRETTY!
THEN! On June 17th my little princess turned 6! It was a Tuesday and we were having her party a few weeks later so we did a few fun little things to make her day special. I ran out and got donuts before the kids woke up and they were thrilled to find the birthday breakfast!
After that we went to Funworks and the kids ran and played and ran and played until they could run no more! I snapped a few birthday pics of Princess and am amazed at how much she has changed recently. Looking back at some of her younger pics, she had chipmunk cheeks and had a little baby chunk. But she looks so much different now, her dimples really show up and her cute little heart shapped face. She has a KNOCK OUT smile and is just such an amazing sensitive soul.
Then it was my OTHER baby's birthday! She is all of 3 now and OMG is so cute. She got a card in the mail and a couple of cards from her sisters and she carried them with her EVERYWHERE all day long. It was SO FREAKIN CUTE.
And yes, these are the best pictures I could get of her on her birthday. She really is a tough nut to crack as far as posing goes. I take em and take em and take em and take some MORE and always she has a crazy look on her face! hehe, maybe that IS her birthday pic, I mean it's pretty indicitive of her personality ;-)
And so that was the rest of June. I just printed out all of my June pics the other day and there were 50! Then I looked at July and O.M.G it's going to be aWHILE before I print those out!
May try and blog them before then though ;-)

YAY I MADE IT! w00t! w00t!
Well I don't have much time cause the hubs is waiting for me with a glass of wine in hand :-D So without further ado ... here are my TO-DO's!
I have been working mostly now on trying to finish up Christmas 2007. Why? Not sure really, I just get stuck on something and REALLY have to finish it before I feel I can move on ... OCD much? So here are the LAST of my Christmas pages! I got 2 pages done Friday and 8 today!!!
OH, and be aware, the color SUCKS. Partially because the lighting was TERRIBLE and partly because some of the pictures lighting SUCKS! Enjoy ;-)
Alrighty. That's it for me today! I think I did pretty good! For more Sunday Scrappers, check out the Sunday Scrappin Blog!!!!

I am just NOT in a happy way right now.
Part of it I'm sure is due to 'coming down' off all the excitement of having out of town friends visit and all that goes into it. Part of it is financial issues. Part of it is not having my usual outlet for venting since all my friends are traveling.
But what has really got me down today is the phone call from DH earlier that he is seriously considering taking a steady job 3 hours away. Now for him, commuting that far is not an option because he has a truck, tools, and pays $4.50 a gallon for gas. So that means ... you guessed it ... living there and coming home on weekends.
Well as you can imagine I was over joyed.
The thought of running four kids to and from school and other parental units in cities far far away ALONE sounds AWESOME!
Making dinners, cleaning house, grocery shopping, evenings, mornings, school functions - all sound SO ENTERTAINING to do ALONE.
Watching stupid or amazing TV and having no one to mock or enjoy it with sounds RIVITING!
Going to bed ALONE and having the house completely quiet except for all those creaks and cracks you never hear when your man sleeps next to you sounds like it won't TERRIFY ME in the least!
Listening to 1-4 kids telling 1-4 stories at THE SAME TIME with no one there to rescue me sounds like THE FUNNEST EVENING EVER!
OK, I know, I'm whining. I am. People work with this situation all the time. People in the military, or working away from family to make ends meat or whatever, people do it all the time. But not us. We don't function as well away from each other as we do together. I suppose that sounds lame, but my life has become so centered around him and this family we have together, that I just don't know how well I will do if he's only there on weekends! Or more to the point, how well WE will do.
I know we'll just do it, find a way. Make it work and all that. But really, I just don't know how OUR relationship will handle it. The more we are together, the more we WANT to be together and feel the NEED to be together. That's just how we are.
So I wonder...if we learn to live apart on a daily basis, how will we be when we're together? I mean I get the whole "absence make the heart grow fonder" thing, but if it's a way of life, will we just grow apart?
I know of a few women around here who have husbands that work certain hours that they are away MOST of the time or only come home on weekends. These relationships are LESS than healthy. But how much of that is due to the time cercumstances? And have they just not tried hard enough to appreciate the time they have together?
And then there's the fact that I RELY on him for A LOT. I mean, if he's gone for a WEEK he could come home and find our house taken over by spiders! And we all cower in the corner under their new regime! Or we weigh 300lbs each because I CAN'T COOK! and we have to eat out all the time! Or the garbage in the garage reaches the ceiling because HE's the one that takes it to the can!!!! MY GOD! CHAOS! UTTER CHAOS!
Ok, so the last part was a little over dramatic, but the rest could be true!
I guess I've gone on long enough with my whinning, but I had to get it out and I really had no one to talk to. All my friends are traveling and I just can't bring myself to worry him about it. He has enough on his mind and on his shoulders. What I say to him is "I'll support whatever decision you make because I know it's best for our family. We WILL make it work."
And then find a way to make myself believe it and ... make it work.

I just don't know why I can't seem to do it all.
I know that sounds like a rather broad statement and you might think "Well OF COURSE you can't do it all ... you're not superwoman!" but I still just don't understand.
I just wish I could do it all. Remember EVERYTHING. Remember to pack the snacks and the diapers and the towels and the sand toys and the SUNSCREEN and the sammiches and the dramamine and the sippy cup and the car toys and camera and the batteries and sunglasses and the blanket and EVERYTHING ELSE that four kids need for an afternoon at the beach.
But I couldn't. I never do. I always forget one of those things and it's usually the worst possible thing, or so it seems at the time.
Today I really did forget the most important thing. My kids are the color of ripe tomatoes and if they ever get skin cancer it will surely be my fault.
Ya know, I didn't really "forget" it. My best friend and her sister had some. I just didn't put it on them. Maybe I'm just lazy or just didn't care until it was too late. I just felt so overwhelmed taking all four of them by myself (with out DH I mean) to a beach 3 hours away that I just ... didn't do it.
And now my babies are paying the price and I'm feeling like a REALLY BAD MOTHER. Of course DH reminds me that I should have taken it, that overcast days are worse than sunny, that we are the color of snow and a bunch of other stuff I already knew. And he's right. And it's all stuff I already knew. And it doesn't matter that I remembered healthy snacks or towels or a change of clothes or the camera.
My babies are in pain and it's all my fault because I'm not perfect. I'm not superwoman.
So this week my BFF was in town from Kennessee and stayed at my house during the week. It was 108* outside. We stayed INside. There was much scrapping done ...I LOOOOVE these papers! I don't usually put pictures down directly onto a pattern paper, but these papers were just so pretty on their own, I HAD TO!
