FINALLY! A NIGHT ALONE!! Well, DH landed a big job in Napa Valley and one of the time he had to drive all the way out there for some work stuffs, the company he's working for offered to put us up for a night! Gotta love the perks of this job sometimes!

We stayed at the Napa Valley Lodge in Yountville :) It was the most beautiful place OH MY I just can't even say.

We had a beautiful room ...

With an AMAZING view and deck! It over looked the fire pit, pool and the spa room, as well as the dinning room
We got a little later in the afternoon after the business stuff was taken care of so first things first ... we popped open our complimentary bottle of wine and relaxed on our deck before heading to dinner :)
It was SO NICE to just sit and take a moment to take in all the beauty of this area. I'd never been to the Napa Valley before so this was a pretty spot to start in! The weather was iffy, it was raining on and off but sometimes even that is nice.

God I love this man :)

So after a glass of wine we dressed for dinner and headed out ... across the street! We found a great little place and it was right across from our hotel room!

One of the things I love MOST about getting away with my man, beyond the obvious of course ;-) is getting to think about myself! That probably sounds funny, but what I mean is, when you're traveling with kids it's hard to really focus on anything but them and what they need ... all the time ...
So when I'm away, I bring as many changes of clothes as possible! Probably sounds like your typical woman, but for me it's part of the fun! I bring a change of clothes for just about EVERYTHING we plan on doing ;-) I have one outfit for breakfast, one for morning events, one for lunch & afternoon events, one for dinner, and one for after dinner events ... ;-) It's just FUN! I'm such a girl :D

We had an AMAZING dinner of rib eye and seared ahi - my FAV! I had an amazing glass of wine from a local winery (I forget the name now though) and he had a beer from a great local brewery. We sat and talked and talked, it was so nice to just be ALONE.

LOVE this man!

After dinner we went back to the hotel, changed again ;-) and grabbed the last of our wine from the hotel and headed down stairs to the fire pit. It was SO relaxing! It was just amazing to sit and talk and cozy up with honey by the fire. We stayed down stairs by the fire until they turned it off on us! We closed em down ;-)

Despite being up late ;-) we woke up BRIGHT and early! I think we're getting old lol. But we dressed and went downstairs for the complimentary Champagne Breakfast :) It was SO awesome to start the day off with a great breakfast and champagne baby by the pool! It really got the day started of well! After breakfast we took our last glass upstairs to our room.

We enjoyed our lovely glass of champagne with the cheesecake we brought home from the restaurant the night before on our deck overlooking the scenery. The weather was beautiful!

After relaxing for awhile ... ;-) ... we went out behind the hotel to a pretty little trail and walked along the river.

It was such a pretty little area ... I LOVE this man :)

Just look at that BUTT! LOL

checking out of our hotel, should be more like :-(

After check out we went to a cute little winery down the street. It was so fun, they had little bistro tables with snacks and we got to sit by ourselves. We enjoyed their GENEROUS portions for an hour and a half! We didn't even realize how long had gone by since we just talked and enjoyed each other.

We went down the street a bit and found a great little bakery with some awesome sandwhiches! We sat on the patio and talked some more :) Then we went across the street and walked through some of the local galeries. The paintings were so amazing.

Next we went to Domain Chandon. The grounds of this winery were beautiful!

AAAAAAnd that's when I broke Brandon ... LOL
OH ... and in case you were wondering ... YES, that IS why I married him ... Hahahhaha ;-)

LOL ...

That's better ;-) unless you count that he looks like he has leporcy LOL

We decided to get a glass of wine instead of taste, so we picked one off the menu and went outside to the patio .. where he started to crack again ... LOL

It was a very pretty little place to sit and relax before heading back home.

Then we strolled through the gardens, hand in hand, enjoying our last few moments of kid-free time ...

On our way through Fairfield we had a chance to stop for dinner at our VERY favorite place, The Blue Frog :) Man, we really need more time alone! I think we might have had TOO much fun together! LOL It's easy when you have a man like mine :)

HEEEEEEY! So it's been awhile ... but at least I have something to show for it!

I have been a busy little bee so I decided to share what I've been up to :)

So I did some OLD SCHOOL pics this week, the above spread is from 2006 while the spread below is from 2003!!! I just happened to be going through my photos looking for inspiration and these jumped out at me :D That's partly why I don't mind being "behind". I never have to force myself to do a subject I may or may not be feelin at the time.

This was a premade layout that I was able to scrap the entire even in ONE spread! Just goes to show that I take WAAAAY too many photos now ... this years Christmas Day photos took up 3 SPREADS! lol

This is Easter 2008, we just had Mad so it all fit on one spread LOL, I look forward to having all 4 kids this year sooooo maybe 4 spreads! Hahahah if only I were kidding ...

This is another premade layout and I scrapped pics from 2006 again! So cute though, the little purse in the picture above folded out and had 8 pages to put more pics on! SUCH a cute idea!

This is March 2007 - another spread that just sprang to life when I was flippin through the album that day

This spread is of all the Christmas pictures & some of the cards we received for the holidays in 2008. It actually came out pretty cute and it's a great way to keep the cards and pictures without them getting shoved somewhere

Simple spread for the girls' class pictures from the 2007-2008 school year (last year)

The above spread is of Tween's Fall & Spring school pics ... it shows what a difference a season makes! I don't know about anyone else, but out here they takes school pics TWICE a year which is a TOTAL RACKET but I buy them anyway cause, well LOOK AT THEM! The Spring pics are always SOOO cute and they really do show how much the kids change

As you can see so well in this spread! I LOVE her spring pics, she looks sooooo cute! It just really exudes her personality ...

So thats what I've been up to! Wanna see more Sunday Scrappers click here or the logo at the top of the page ... HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!
