Why is it that when things are good ... they are REALLY really good. But when things are bad ... they are REALLY really bad?

Is there no in between?

I've been down in the dumps for awhile. It's basically stress related, so I'm not overly concerned that I'll fall into a depression hole or anything. But it's still becoming something I'm struggling to overcome everyday now.

My mom thinks I'm depressed. Based on a 5 minute conversation mind you ;-) She is concerned though, and I love her for that. She asked if I needed her to come down here and help me out more often, to which I answered in my typically flip way:

"Well, not really, unless you bring money with you ... OR take one of the kids BACK with you" - kidding, mostly...

Maybe it's just that blue-ness that seems to come with winter, even though it's been unseasonably lovely out actually.

I just don't know what to do for these daily stress out sessions I've been having. I usually just end up:

  • doing the bare minimum around the house & with the kids
  • praying for nap time to sit and veg in front of soaps and listen to pretty rich people whine about THEIR problems
  • fall asleep JUST before the kids get home or the baby wakes up which puts me in a TRULY grumpy mood
  • doing the bare min for dinner & with the kids
  • praying for bed time & a glass or two of wine

Hmmmm sounds a little more depressing when I spell it all out like that.

I just don't know how to break the cycle, cause I know most of what I do during the day is stressing me out even more.

And though it appears that I'm looking for advice, I'm really not ;-) I guess I just needed to vent a little. I feel bad putting all of this on DH because he's depressed right now too and THAT just makes us both feel worse. So I think we have come to an unspoken agreement not to tell each up just how STRESSED OUT we both are. I'm SURE thats completely unhealthy, but at this point, we're just trying to get through another day...

Much of this is money related. It's tough right for lots of people and I don't pretend to think that we have it worse than anyone else. It's just the worst that WE have ever been through. We keep sinking deeper and deeper and deeper and I don't know how to get back out.

Ugh ... like I said, just venting. It's another SUPER stressed out day and my cell phone usage is restricted and I'm kinda freaking out.

I'm sure it will get better ... I just hate the feeling of 'just getting through' every day.

YAY! I'm BACK! w00t! lol

OH man this week {and last} I was a scrappin fool! I went to my lil sis's house last week and did some scrappin with her, I got 5 pages done so it was great! Then I came home and went to take pics on Sunday ... only to find that my hubby had taken my CAMERA!

DUH DUH DUUUUUUH ...

So I waited ... and since I had an uneven about of pages done {YES I am aware of my OCDity} I felt compeled to complete the open spread. Well I did, and then some! I ended up doing another 5 pages!

In keeping with the holiday season {I heart Valentine's Day!} I decided to work on my Couple's Album. I've been working on my friend's pictures, and the family album, & projects, so this was a fun change up. I think that's why I have so many different projects/albums going on at the same time, cause when I get bored with one thing I can do something different and be inspired all over again!

So without further adue {sp?} here are my TA-DAs!

Couple's Album - September 2004

Couple's Album - Fall/December 2004

Couple's Album - Winter 2006

Couple's Album - February 2008

Couple's Album - Valentine's Day 2008

So for my TO-DO's this week:
Scrap. More. lol I really want to get more time in on this I just enjoy it so much.
OK that's it for me! If you love all things scrappy or just want to be inspired go check all the other Sunday Scrappers & join in the fun!

So let me start off with two things:

  1. This is a back dated post. I'm actually writing this in May 09 but trying to keep it organized in my SLIGHTLY OCD way ;-) so that I can have all the details kept somewhere SAFE for when I get around to scrapping these pictures ... so round about 2012 ... ish ;-)
  2. I LOVE THE SNOW!

One day in February 09 we were bored ... and the kids were going APE SHIT ... as they tend to do. So we hopped in the car and drove toward the snow caped mountains not too far away :)

About an hour from home we found snow! And after driving around a bit looking for a not-too crowded spot we found this one! A little elementary school yard right off the main road! It was PERFECT and totally empty!

We were all very excited, this is Lil Miss's first trip to the snow EVER!

The whole place was COVERED in fresh snow and there was a little hill PERFECT for "sledding"!

or whatever you would call 'sailing down a hill on a peice of cardboard we found in the trunk of my car since we forgot the ACTUAL sled' LOL

It actually worked pretty damn well! And it was A LOT of fun!

Hehehe at this point I don't think she had ANY idea what was going on LOL

So Daddy 'helped her' catch some air ;-)

AND BOY DID SHE! She FLEW down that hill! She laughed so hard the whole time, she LOVED it!

All the kids did ;-)

So after Daddy 'helped' Lil Miss, she wanted to 'help' him too! Hahaha...

She's a lot stronger than she looks! ;-)

My Snow Baby :)

My Snow Sweeties!

They were so cute. We went up and down that hill so many times our cardboard sled decintigrated! LOL

My Snow Boy :)

:)

So while the boys worked on their hill and perfecting their jumps - lol - us girls went and checked out the playground. SUCH a cute little school, and it looked so pretty all covered in snow. It LOOKED pretty, but it was a BITCH to walk across dragging a baby behind you! Did I mention it was COVERED in snow?! lol

But she had a great time on the playground, that is until she tried to go down the slide and ended up back in the snow LOL

Snow Bunnies :)

Oh and then as we were fixin to leave ... the snow fight began ... lol Innocently enough, Lil Miss just took a shovel full of snow and threw it right in Daddy's face ;-)

Not to be out done, Daddy picked up a bunch of snow and dumped it on Lil Miss's head! To which she was very suprised and said "UH! NO DADDY! NOT ON *MEEEE*!" LOL

And then she picked up more snow and threw it at Daddy again ;-) LOL it went on like that for QUITE awhile ... gee I wonder where she gets her stubborn nature from ;-) hahaha!

So let me tell you two things:

  1. I am back dating THIS post as well since I'm trying to use this blog as a way to keep details for my pictures so that when I scrap them I'll have the stories that make the memories special :)
  2. I am a Valentine's SAP! lol

I'm just one of those women who LOVE Valentines Day! For my DH & I, it's just another day we get to find a babysitter and have some much needed much loved ALONE TIME! And it gives us an excuse to do so. When you have so many kids sometimes it can be difficult to find someone who'll take pity on you and give you that alone time. So for us, Valentine's Day is the perfect way to get one!

We show our love and affection every day, not just one specified day a year. I love my hubs so much for that. We'll take as many days as you give us to get out and have a special night!

We found that we wouldn't be able to go out ON Valentine's, so we grabbed a sitter for Thursday night and went to out favorite little bistro here in town, parked it at the bar so we could sit close to each other :) and enjoyed some drinks ... he got some green contraption

And I got an absolutely awesome Pomegranetini :) They are just the BEST at this place!

We had a great dinner and talked and laughed so much, we NEED that! We have such a great time together, it reminds us why we got together in the first place!

So does this *wink wink*

This year Valentines was on a Saturday. We didn't have much money, but I wanted to do a little something special for the kids and make Valentines about all of us & our love for each other! So we celebrated alone on Thursday and as a family on Saturday :) Most of us anyway, my girls were with their dad that day.

Lil Miss LOVED her little Valentine's Froggy :)

And Sk8er Boy loved his Valentine's Monkey :)

Then we cuddled and canoodled for a bit

Just lovin on each other before the day got going ...

After my DH got back from working he brought me a beautiful bunch of flowers :) I love getting flowers and my honey is so cute, he brings me flowers for no reason just whenever the mood stricks him, even after 5 years! LOVE IT! IT means so much cause I really wasn't expecting any :)

So to top off such a ROMANTICAL day, lol, we had a lovely dinner at ... wait for it ... DEL TACO! LOL

The kids went and played and had fun

LOL

And the place was empty ... imagine that ... so it was nice. We could sit and talk while the kids played. Boy, if they had beer it would've been the best day ever! LOL

Then on Monday the girls arrived home and found their little Valentine's treasures, and Princess loved her Valentines Puppy

And Tween her Valentine's Bear. I wonder when she'll be too old for this? Hmm I wonder if this was the last year she'd be all into cutsie little stuffed animals from MOMS and cooperating while I take 40hundred pictures ;-)
All in all, it was a GREAT Valentine's Weekend!
